Nintendo Wii Online Updates 2010 - Games Updates
Nintendo Periodically releases New Updates to The Nintendo Wii System in the Form of "Wii System Updates". These Updates re-write a small amount of code to the Wii Console onboard Memory Chip to enhance features of the Wii.
Updates to the Nintendo Wii System can be done in 3 Main Ways:
1. By Connecting The Wii Online and accepting the Latest Nintendo Wii Update From The Official Nintendo Site.
2. By inserting a Wii Game that has an Update on the Disc. The request to update the Wii will appear before you can start the Inserted Wii Game.
3. Those with a Wii mod chip or Wii Softmod - Can burn an update to a CD and insert the Update disc to update the Wii to any Firmware Version.
How to Check Wii Model Number / Nintendo Wii Serial
When trying to decide which Wii Mod Chip to install in Your Wii Console it is Good to know the Wii Serial Number to help decide which chip will work best.
The Wii Serial Number and the Nintendo Wii Model Number can be Found on the White Nintendo Sticker on the Back Spine of the Console ( See Pic Below ) .

Nintendo DSi Mod chip, Nintendo DSi Save Card, DSi Mod Chip
DS Modchip, DS Lite Mod Card, Nintendo DSi Australia

Modding your DS / Modding DSi Save Card ? Its easy as!
Modding your DS is the easiest console to mod! The devices used to mod the DS are shaped like a Game, and work the same way....just plug in and play! There is no voiding of your warranty.
A DS on its own plays DS games, one at a time...pretty boring stuff!
A Modded DS and DSi Mod chip Card Device lets you:
Use Homebrew
Homebrew is any bit of software that someone writes for a console that doesn't go through the official channels for approval and distribution, i.e. anyone can do it! The most popular homebrew applications are:
- DSOrganize - an organizer application which includes a PDA, file browser, web browser, IRC client, text editor, calculator and more!
- MoonShell – allows you to play Mp3s, view images, text files and watch movies!
- Messenger Apps – IRC, AIM, MSN – you can now use it on your DS!
- VoIP – Use your DS as a phone!
- Emulators – SNES, NES, ScummVM, NeoGeo, GameBoy etc.
The different types of Nintendo DS / DS Lite and DSi Mod Chips cards:
Every Nintendo DS flash card we stock has its pros and cons. Please read each page to see which one suits you.
All you need is one of our combos, i.e. A Slot 1 Device + a Micro SD card. Each combo has EVERYTHING you need for 1 DS (Or DS Lite) console -- there are no hidden extras you need to buy.

Ability to Play Homebrew - Homebrew for the DS and Nintendo DSi
High Capacity MicroSD support - The ability to use HC microSD cards. HC microSD cards start at 4GB and the technology can reach around 32GB we have been told. We offer 4GB and 8GB on our website. The more space the better hey? This is a hardware feature, so it is not possible to upgrade via firmware to support the cards.
Failure rate from latest batch - Pretty self explanatory . CycloDS evos had a horror run when they first came out with massive failure rate, which almost made us not stock the item. However their hardware issues have been solved now :)
Spring loaded MicoSD slot - The most popular cards in 2007 where the M3 Simply and R4DS. Both had these crappy spring that would break after a couple of months. The R4DS has a new shell, and the M3 Simply has been discontinued. The M3 Real and AceKard 2 have a spring but it is off a different style. The failure rate of these springs is close to nothing.
Download and Play support - If you want to play games against other people that don't have the game, you need this feature.
Built in Action Reply - Action Reply is the ability to load 'cheats' into the game. CycloDS evo, M3 real and AceKard 2, Itouch-DS have cheat databases built into the firmware, so its extremely easy to get them working. R4DS supports it, but you will need to load cheats in manually usually.
Free 'Rumble' expansion - Not a biggy, but the M3 Real comes with a free (free as in you cant get the pack without it, so don't ask!) Rumble pack. There are a couple of DS games that the rumble feature (DS shakes a little during play). The M3 Real also comes with a GBA expansion pack (if you buy the GBA expansion option). It allows you to play GBA ROMs, and the slot can also be patched to act as extra RAM to boot the DS's Opera browser. These 2 features (Rumble and GBA) are ONLY compatible with DS Lites.
Slow Motion - Flash cards that support this allow you to slow the game down to half the speed, a quarter etc. You can turn it on and off
Real Time Save (RTS) - Real Time save allows you to save the game state at any time - so you no longer need to wait until there is a save point in the game! You will then be able to resume the save game at that point any time you want.
In Game Menu - CycloDS has this really cool feature where you can press a button combination that will (mid game) pop up with a little menu. The menu allows you to enable/diable cheats, looks at a text file (incase you have downloaded a walkthrough for a game and you aren't near your PC), slow motion, etc.
Please be careful when reading reviews on the net about our products. Read an old review and it will say that R4 is the best, when as you can see, it is the most basic card.

WII MODDING and WII UPGRADES NEWS / REVIEWS
Turn your Wii into a home media center with support for many popular music and video formats including MP3, AVI, MP4, etc. By unlocking your Nintendo Wii you can play lots of homebrew applications and access homebrew channels such as Wii Earth and Pong.
When you unlock your Wii will be able to play all sorts of new formats that will let your Wii run wild! (You’ll be able to play music and video formats including MP3, AVI, MP4, etc.)
You can also play imported games from all regions including USA (NTSC) and Europe (PAL). One of my favorites, you can now play games from Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis and other classic consoles right from your Wii.
