Cygnos360 V2 reads and flashes the Xbox360 NANDs in very high speed. Dumping a full 512Mb image takes less than 10 minutes, the 16Mb NANDs are dumped in a few seconds.

Cygnos 360 V2 PCB is high quality and leaves us only after having performed a self test done by the onboard microcontroller. Our firmware is upgradable in the field and we have already reached Firmware 1.06 since we launched Cygnos360 V2 in August last year. Since then we have improved every detail of the chip and eased up installation even more.

Cygnos360 V2 has lots of quicksolder points, also connecting to the JTAG interface for performing the so called “JTAG HACK”. In contrast to other solutions however, Cygnos360 makes proper injections to the port controlled by our onboard microcontroller. Wiring cables to the JTAG port or installing diodes or resistors is not necessary. Cygnos360 V2 is therefore the only solution to perform the JTAG hack in a proper manner whereas the wiring with resistors or diodes only approximates the voltages and may cause damage to the xbox 360. Cygnos360 fully avoids these risks!

Cygnos360 Toolbox is able to perform numerous tasks that are needed to prepare Xbox360s for linux and homebrew with the greatest simplicity possible.

Recently, c4eva contacted us with a proposal for a key verification procedure.

Basically, with known key to hand you can check it against a connected drive. These procedures have always been been there, but now we can use them to our advantage. They are clearly visible in C4eva's live logs.

OK.... So we messed with the routines for a few hours as per C4eva's instructions and with a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, we got them to work.

As for a known key, you should have them in your database.
So we are adding a couple of routines.

1. Simply bang every key you have at the drive until it hits the right one.... Simples! It does a hundred keys in a couple of seconds.... Brutal, but effective.
2. Lite-on have a unique identifier in their Inquiry. So, on a port refresh, a lite-on can be readily identified and the key returned and verified - Uber Cool -
3. So we are adding an index to the KeyDB against the drive barcode, to take advantage of 2 above. KeyDB refreshes will also update existing entries..
